I'm back . . .

Hi all,

As some of you know I had a death in my family; my father-in-law passed away last week on Father's Day. Needless to say, my husband took it VERY HARD. So we had to go out of town to Connecticut (we're in NJ) for a few days. But now that things have settled down somewhat, it's getting better. My husband has come to terms with his dad's death & realizes that his dad is finally out of his pain (he had congestive heart failure) & at rest.

And so I'm back to blogging; I hope to post a few things later today or tomorrow.

Thanks so much for your condolences & prayers.

I am very new to your blog. Sorry to hear about your loss. That is so sad, especially on Father's Day. :(

I lost my father April 08 and I was surprised at how difficult it was. I mourned for what was lost, for what could have been... you can't really explain it and you can't fully understand it unless you have lost a parent.

Anyway, I'm sorry for his and your loss. Hope the rest of the summer goes well.

Sorry to hear your sad news, Crystal. I've lost my father and my father in-law. It's hard to accept when you lose a dad.

One way to deal with it for me is to add their characters to my stories. That way I bring them back to life again.

When things get tough, writing always helps. I feel for your husband. It's not a nice place to be.

Trish.

Thanks so much for your condolences, Trish. It's greatly appreciated! Wow, I'm so sorry to hear your loss of both your father & father-in-law. And yes, that's an excellent idea to add their characters to your stories. I think that's what I'm doing partly with my own MG novel.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Hope your weekend was good.
